The worlds of food policy, nutrition and health are rapidly converging as consumers attempt to seek out the flavors and tastes they desire while also keeping an eye towards more healthful diets. This presentation will look at how the evolution of food policy, including the upcoming Dietary Guidelines 2015, front of pack labeling and the like, will ultimately impact how foods, beverages and flavors are marketed to the consumer with health in mind. In addition to covering top trends like simplified ingredient listings, transparency in marketing, and the ongoing quest for all natural ingredients among others, this presentation will explore how these play out in both corporate and consumer communications channels to maximum effect. In navigating this maze of food policy, nutrition marketing and consumer demand, opportunities for vanilla will be highlighted in order to generate clear paths to future success in the vanilla marketplace.
